I was lucky enough to have my exhibitor application accepted for the SL9B celebration! This is my first time as an exhibitor. You can find me on the DreamSeeker Negen sim. (SLURL)

The birthday celebration brings out the best in Second Life. Sim owners donate sims. Organizers take on the gargantuan task of laying out sims, dividing parcels, filtering applications from exhibitors, and scheduling everything! Assistants come forward as volunteers to assist exhibitors and builders. Greeters and stage managers are trained. Djs are hired. Presenters and speakers are organized. And as you can see in the photos above, photographers come out and take amazing pictures! The birthday has called upon all of the skills of Second Life residents.

As Saffia Widdershins pointed out in her keynote speech at the opening of the celebration, “This is not Linden Lab’s birthday. It is OUR birthday.” If you missed her speech and the dance of the tinies, you can watch a video of it here.

To my friends in Second Life, and to all residents of Second Life, happy birthday!

To all of the organizers, volunteers and sponsors, a big thank you for making it all happen!

Look around the fountain for the crossed roses and click on them to get your birthday gifts!

Victorian Town Hall Entered in SLPro Conference Challenge

I have been attending the SLPro Conference in Second Life, a conference focusing on content creators. It has been an amazing experience, and I have picked up many useful tips in the areas of marketing, creation process, and scripting. I entered the Limited Prim Challenge, where I was given a lot with 850 prims to build on. I decided to enter my Victorian Town Hall. It can be seen in world at my main store on the building rezzer.

This conference had a fee of $99 US dollars to attend. For a serious content creator in Second Life, I must say it has been well worth it.

Swirl Fashion in Fantasy Show

The show was absolutely fantastic. The showing of designer fashions was encased within a small play based on a fantasy theme. A wizard who had let his appearance and relationship go comes to see the error of his ways. Through the help of his Queen and a fashion makeover he is able to win back the sorceress he loves. There will be no Oscar nominations come of it, but it was creative, well done, well organized and very enjoyable. The set was beautiful.

Here are some photos from the show.

Swirl Fantasy Fashion Show

Hello everyone. I will be participating in a “Fantasy in Fashion” show as a featured designer run by Give It a Swirl. The show will run twice: Saturday, February 13 at 5 pm, and Sunday, February 14 at noon. Other featured designers are Mystic Sky, GutterPup, Mer-Elf Creations, Moonstruck, and Lace and Steel. You can get more information on their website (click here).

Here is my ad I made for their program. It will span two pages. I decided to go with the look of a romance novel (aka bodice ripper) cover. The question is, will he kill her or kiss her?

I hope to see you at the show!
